The Evaluation of Mathematics Curricula will assess the effectiveness of 4 early elementary mathematics curricula. This submission is for the third phase of the study which will expand the study to the third grade. This submission includes the justification and plan for the data collection of information and statistical methods for the evaluation. Data collection forms that will be used in the study are included in this submission. These forms are unchanged from previous OMB submissions. The recruitment and first two years of data collection were cleared in previous OMB submissions.

This is a one-year extension of data collection for an increase of 295 hours and 615 responses. The increase is for information collection that would occur during the 2008-09 school year to support analyses that examine the sustained effects of the study’s curricula. The net result is an overall decrease of -1013 since the burden hours of the previous collection have now been completed.
