The certification application will be
used to determine whether an entity seeking CDFI certification or
recertification meets the Fund's requirements for such
certification as set forth in 12 C.F.R. 1805.201.
The reduction in burden hours
is due to a reassessment of the Fund's previous estimates. The
factors affecting the revised estimate include: 1) anticipation of
fewer number of annual respondents, 2)mix of respondents -
anticipate fewer new certification respondents and an increase in
recertification respondents, and 3) average burden hour respondent
- with the new electronic application system we are developing, we
anticipate a reduction in the average burden per respondent,
especially for the recertification respondents. In addition, we
corrected an error in the previous reporting of the number of
annual responses. This correction has had no effect on the burden
hours.
