If you have recently submitted your 2008 Farm and Ranch Irrigation Survey (FRIS) form, we thank you for completing and returning this important information.

If you have not yet completed your report form, please take some time to fill out the information and return it within the next 14 days. In case you have misplaced the previous report form, we are enclosing another copy for your completion. If you did not conduct any agricultural operations, or did not irrigate in 2008, it is equally important for us to hear from you.

We realize this is a very busy time of year for you, but your responses are important as they provide valuable information used to plan for the future. As we all know, water usage is vital to America, and this survey is the only source of information relating to agricultural irrigation practices, quantity of water used, and method of application. The answers you provide help researchers find the most cost effective means of using irrigation water, which helps us all. We are counting on your cooperation in this effort. So please return your completed report form as soon as possible.

This survey is both required by law and protected by law (Title 7, U. S. Code). This is your opportunity to make a difference for all of agriculture. All individual answers are confidential.
