Abstract: CDC collects information about the activities and attributes of central cancer registries funded by the National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR). Beginning in 2009, CDC proposes to change the datea collection frequency from annual to every other year, with data collection occurring only in odd-numbered years. Information will be used to monitor NPCR registries' progress towards program standards and objectives and to disseminate information about the NPCR. Continued clearance is requested for three years.

Short Statement: The is a revision request for a currently approved data collection. CDC Plans to change the data collection frequency from annual to every other year (bi-annual), with the data being collected in odd numbered years. The project title and the instrument has been modified to reflect the change in data collection frequency. The title request changed is from National Program of Cancer Registries Annual Program Evaluation Instrument (NPCR-APEI) to National Program of Cancer Registries Program Evaluation Instrument (NPCR-PEI) This request is for three years with the current expiration date of December 31, 2008.
