Note to Reviewer of 1205-0178

The Notice of Action, dated October 21, 2005, included the following term of clearance:

“The agency must complete the incorporation of OMB approval information on the electronic filing system as soon as practicable, preferable prior to the end of 2007. If not, future submissions must address and explain reason for delay and plan for completion.”

DOL is in compliant with the term of clearance. All of the reports are handled by a software system deployed on federal software and hardware to the States. The States use this system to key in (or upload automatically) their data and then transmit it to us. When the users see the entry screen, it imports the standard OMB disclaimer along with the OMB collection number, the estimated burden and the expiration date. The latter three items are linked dynamically from a database which is updated as the collections are renewed. Therefore, the user will always see the most recent information. A screen shot of the system, displaying the OMB approval information, has been uploaded into ROCIS.
