Other change** This IC 1810-0036 previously also included the Section 8003 Basic Support Payments. The original very high burden estimate is traced back to much earlier years when over 4,000 school districts applied for both types of Impact Aid using a single form. The Impact Aid Program now uses two applications and has many fewer applicants, only about 250 applicants for the Section 8002 program. The burden hours reported in this collection is a realistic estimate of the time that applicants put into preparing the current application. This figure does not tie back to the original estimate. The Department recently obtained approval for Section 8003 application under the new OMB #1810-0687. The current burden change requested here reflects all burden needed for this Section 8002 application.
