(LUCA) Program
Title 13 Security On-Site Inspections
The Census Bureau reminds all LUCA Program participants currently in possession of
confidential Title 13 materials that the Census Bureau’s Regional Census Centers (RCCs) may
schedule and conduct security inspections at participant worksites during the feedback phase of
the LUCA Program. On-site inspections may be scheduled at any time before the April 30, 2010
deadline for the return or destruction of all Title 13 data. The purpose of the inspections is to
ensure that the Title 13 data are protected and to learn from participants how to improve the
Census Bureau’s approach to data confidentiality and security for the LUCA Program.
Adherence to security requirements (as documented in the signed Confidentiality Agreement, the
Confidentiality and Security Guidelines, and the Self-Assessment Checklist) will be reviewed as
part of any inspection visit.
