Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program 0915-0140

In response to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and following discussion between the program and Hester Grippando at OMB, the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program (NELRP) is extending the application process which is currently open for an additional two weeks. The ARRA provides additional funds for HRSA to provide loans, and the extension of time to receive applications is needed to permit submission of additional requests. The additional two weeks for application submission is expected to result in 1,800 additional applicants, with a total of 13,752 additional responses and 10,728 additional burden hours.

Please have Susan Queen fill out an 83C IC Change sheet and submit it to OIRA.  All it has to do is estimate the number of additional responders.  OIRA is expecting this and can turn it around in a day.
