Abstract: The Federal Employees' Compensation System is a system of records in support of the
Federal Employees' Compensation Act. The system of records contains data on claims filed under
the Act and on benefit payments made to or on behalf of eligible injured workers who have filed
claims under the Act.
Purpose: The FECS was developed to store data related to the filing of claims under the Federal
Employees' Compensation Act. This system of records is used in the daily processing of claims and
for the production of both management and operational reports related to the processing of injury
compensation claims.
Agency Program: The FECS was developed to support the adjudication of claims filed under the
Federal Employees' Compensation Act.
