Adjustment from 14,172 respondents to 28,384 respondents is due to the change in the number of proposals estimated to be submitted to Treasury based on FY 2008 data. The adjustment in the estimated burden for each contract from 29 hours to 9 hours is due in large part to increasing use of GSA schedule contracts and other government-wide contract vehicles, a proposal method requiring less contractor burden for response, and to automation and use of electronic means for submitting proposals. The adjustment in the total annual hours required from 410,988 to 255,456 is due to the decrease in the estimated number of hours associated with each contractor proposal.
