The Electronic Health Record checklist demonstrates readiness for electronic health records if applicants propose to use American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds for electronic health record (EHR) related purchases. HRSA will use this information along with the overall application to determine eligibility for agency awards.
Emergency processing is needed for the Electronic health record readiness assessment because of the critical timing of the application announcement for grantees requesting ARRA funds. The program application for these funds must be made available as soon as possible in order to allow 30 days for grantees to prepare the application materials, which are due on/around June 1, 2009, and to make awards 30 days following.
