Short Statement: The Commission has adjusted the estimates as follows: 1) the total annual burden has decreased by 54,000 hours which is due to the Commission's belief that carriers subject to these reporting and recordkeeping requirements maintain the information to be reported in the normal course of business. As such it will take carriers less time to compile and file the necessary reports by using advanced technology; 2) the total number of respondents increased by 14 (from 10 to 24 respondents); and the mandatory filing fee was mistakenly excluded from the previous (2006 submission). As such the annual operations and maintenance fee for the annual cost is estimated at $784,320 which is filing fee of $32,680 per filing.
