The Uniform Grant Application for Non-Entitlement Discretionary Grants, OMB Docket #0584-0512, allows the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to add programs to the list of approved programs that use this generic clearance process periodically, provided that approval is obtained in advance.
FNS is requesting OMB approval to add the project Center of Excellence for School Food Safety Research to the list of approved projects. FNS intends to award a Cooperative Agreement in the form of a grant to one University to conduct research related to food safety in schools. We are requesting to use 840 hours of the currently approved 31,340 hours for universities to respond to the Request for Application to operate this Center.
