This survey is completely voluntary and whether or not you decide to participate will not affect yours or anyone’s citizenship or application status. Although your participation is voluntary, it is important that we hear from you because only you can tell us about your unique experience as a newly naturalized citizen.

Your participation in this study and the responses you provide are kept completely private. We will keep your answers separate from your identifying information and we will not identify you in any reports on this study. Also, you may choose to skip any question you do not want to answer and you may stop the interview at any time.

We hope that you will take a few minutes to help us with this important research. An interviewer from our survey company, Abt SRBI, will call within the next few days to ask you to participate in a phone interview that will take about 25 minutes of your time. The survey will collect information on topics such as your experiences in going through the process to become a citizen, the reasons why you decided to become a citizen, your experience coming to the United States, your background, etc. This will help USCIS better understand the experiences of newly naturalized citizens so that we can provide the best possible services.
