Dear Farm Supplier:
The agriculture industry needs your help. Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) collects data from farm suppliers to estimate the average prices farmers are paying for farming inputs. Accurate price data on prices farmers pay is extremely important. As farming input costs continue to rise, producers must have accurate data on which to base their business decisions and plan for the future.
There are only a few thousand farm suppliers in the United States, so it is vital that NASS contact many suppliers to publish accurate data. Your response is important and cannot be replaced by another supplier. Please help support the farmers and producers who support your business by responding to this survey.
Because we want to make it as simple as possible for you to participate, we are offering you a number of options for reporting your information:
You can fill out and mail back the enclosed survey form.
You can follow the enclosed instructions for using our new, secure online response system.
Or, if you would prefer to provide the information by phone, a NASS representative will contact you.
Please be assured that your responses to this survey will be kept completely confidential, as required by federal law. NASS safeguards the privacy of all respondents and publishes only regional- and national-level data, ensuring that no individual person or business can be identified.
Thank you in advance for your support of our programs and for helping us measure the success of U.S. agriculture. If you have any questions or concerns, please call (xxx) xxx-xxx.
Sincerely,
