Justification for Non-Substantive Changes to the Collection

SSA is making the following revisions:

SSA’s Office of the General Counsel is conducting a systematic review of SSA’s Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statement on the first page of the form.

Change We are changing the language in question #64 from “If you are blind, check the type of mail you would like to receive from us” to “If you are blind or visually impaired, check the type of mail you want to receive from us.

Justification

We are making this language change due to the SSA Class Action-American Council for the Blind ((ACB) v. Astrue).
