Justification for Nonsubstantial Change

JUSTIFICATION


This non-substantial change request is being submitted to OMB for approval for changes made to the instructions of FCC Form 388. The changes are as follows:


Instructions to Section A

Second sentence reads: “Stations are required to air PSAs or crawls at various times in any given day part, and at least three PSAs and three crawls per day must be run during primetime hours.”

Corrected to read: “Stations are required to air PSAs or crawls at various times in any given day part, and at least one PSA and one crawl per day must be run during primetime hours.”


Section B, Mandatory Daily Notices Instructions

Last sentence reads: ”The station may replace up to 25 percent of their daily PSAs and crawls with each type of notice (stations may choose alternative on-air methods to comply with these notice requirements, but if so they may not be

counted toward the transition PSA/transition crawl obligations. See 47 C.F.R. § 73.674(b)(6)-(8) for additional details).”

Corrected to read: ” Stations may choose alternative on-air methods to comply with these notice requirements, but if so they may not be counted toward the transition PSA/transition CST obligations. (See 47 C.F.R. § 73.674(b)(6)-(8) for additional details).”


Section C, Mandatory Daily Notices Instructions

Last sentence reads: “The station may replace up to 25 percent of their daily on-air consumer education with each type of notice. See 47 C.F.R. § 73.674(b)(6)-(8) for additional details).”

Corrected to read: ” Stations may choose alternative on-air methods to comply with these notice requirements, so long as they meet the requirements for duration and time of day aired. (See 47 C.F.R. § 73.674(b)(6)-(8) for additional details).”
