Short Statement: Form 4970 is used by a beneficiary of a domestic or foreign trust to compute the tax adjustment attributable to an accumulation distribution. There is no change in the form previously approved by OMB. However, this request reflects a change in burden resulting from a correction to the method previously used in computing the burden. The correction has resulted in a total burden increase of 10,700 hours.
