JUSTIFICATION FOR CHANGE
SOUTHEAST REGION GROUPER AND TILEFISH IFQ PROGRAM
OMB CONTROL NO. 0648-0587

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Fisheries Service
(NMFS), Southeastern Region, is requesting a revision to the form entitled: Landing Transaction
Authorization.
The Landing Transaction Authorization form has been revised to include a box for the dealer to
insert the state trip ticket number if he/she chooses (this is an optional request). State trip ticket
information is used to resolve landings issues with NMFS logbook data. There is no expected
additional burden time associated with this request.
Also, on the Notice of Action’s List of ICs, please revise the CFR citation number to read "50
CFR 622.20”. This is the citation that all of the Grouper and Tilefish Individual Fishing Quota
(IFQ) program requirements are located in.
