On May 15 2009 OMB issued its Notice of Action (NOA) approving the previous submission on an emergency basis. The NOA noted OMB’s abiding interest in any comments received from the public and DOL's own implementation experience to determine whether any changes to the collection are warranted to further minimize burden and maximize practical utility.

DOL’s implementation experience, together with informal comments from practitioners in the field, led directly to a decrease in burden and a collapsing of 9 forms into 6 forms, as described in the Supporting Statements (#s A.12 and A.15) and the Short Statement in ROCIS.
