Abstract: information collection request (ICR) addendum covers revisions to the 2008 renovation, repair, and painting (RRP) rule which established reporting and recordkeeping requirements for individuals and firms conducting renovations in target housing, which is most housing constructed before 1978, and child-occupied facilities, which are pre-1978 residential, public, or commercial buildings where children under 6 are regularly present. EPA is revising the 2008 RRP final rule under the authority of Sections 402 and 407 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). This ICR addendum revises the existing approved ICR to incorporate reporting and recordkeeping requirements in a proposed rule expected to be published in the Federal Register on October 30, 2009.

Short Statement: Most of the burden increase analyzed in this ICR is attributable to program changes related to the proposed revisions to the 2008 final RRP rule. These changes would increase the number of respondents for certain approved information collection activities in some cases, and in other cases increase the number of events for certain approved information collection activities. In addition, EPA has corrected the unit burden associated with training provider digital photgraph activities. This resulted in some minor adjustments to the Agency's estimates. These changes are described in detail in the Supporting Statement.
