B.2 Procedures for the Collection of Information

The sample is the entire cohort of attendees at the Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences held at the National Institutes of Health. The survey will be administered once after the end of each conference, anonymously, and be a voluntary response.

The data collection method is a survey containing questions allowing for simple quantitative analysis (percentages). No free text will be allowed. Draft questions are attached and will be tailored to the individual conference at the time of implementation.

The survey will be administered and the information will be collected on-line. An e-mail with a link to the survey will be sent to participants. Survey Monkey will be used. The results will be submitted to the Continuing Medical Education (CME) contractor, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education.

B.3 Methods to Maximize Response Rates and Deal with Nonresponse

All attendees of the conferences will be sent an anonymous link. Since this is a voluntary survey, there is no plan to deal with nonresponse. Expected response rate is 90%.

No testing is proposed or planned for this survey.
