Form 860 is used by Small Business
Administration (SBA) examiners to obtain information about assets
of small business investment companies (SBICs) that are held in
account at financial institutions and about SBIC borrowings from
financial institutions. This information, which is collected
directly from the financial institutions, provides independent
confirmation of asset and liability figures reported to SBA by
SBICs as well as supplemental information used to evaluate
regulatory compliance and financial condtion.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
