Complementary
and alternative medicine (CAM) is a group of diverse medical and
health care systems, practices and products that are not currently
considered to be part of conventional medicine or taught in U.S.
medical schools. Examples of CAM include such products and practices
as herbal supplements, meditation, chiropractic manipulation, and
acupuncture.
