National Wildlife Refuge
Visitor Survey

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST:

Thank you for visiting a national wildlife refuge and for agreeing to participate in this study! We hope that you had an enjoyable experience. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Geological Survey would like to learn more about refuge visitors in order to improve the management of the area and enhance visitor opportunities.

If you have recently visited more than one national wildlife refuge or made more than one visit to the same refuge, please respond regarding only the Refuge and the visit when you were asked to participate in this survey. Any question that uses the phrase “this Refuge” refers to the Refuge and visit when you were contacted.

PAPERWORK REDUCTION ACT STATEMENT: The Paperwork Reduction Act requires us tell you why we are collecting this information, how we will use it, and whether or not you have to respond. The information that we collect in this survey will help us understand visitor satisfaction with and use of national wildlife refuges and to make sound management and policy decisions. Your response is voluntary. An agency may not conduct or sponsor and you are not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB Control Number. We estimate it will take an average of 25 minutes to complete this survey. You may send comments concerning the burden estimate or any aspect of the survey to the Information Collection Clearance Officer, Fish and Wildlife Service, 4401 North Fairfax Drive, MS 222–ARLSQ, Arlington, VA 22203.
