Terms of Clearance

This ICR is approved consistent with changes made to the instruction sheet. Also,

this ICR is approved on the understanding that 1) SSA will continue to verify that the reported wage information is accurate, 2) SSA will implement the receipt and authentication enhancements during FY08, and 3) SSA will implement the changes necessary to allow concurrent beneficiaries to report during FY08. SSA

also understands that "permanent authorization" of this instrument does not mean SSA can bypass the PRA requirements: at least every 3 years, this instrument will have to be renewed and reviewed, per the PRA.

SSA has met the terms of clearance. 1) SSA continues to verify that the reported wage information is accurate. 2) SSA implemented the receipt and authentication enhancements during FY08. 3) SSA implemented the changes necessary to allow concurrent beneficiaries to report during FY08. SSA has renewed and reviewed this instrument.

Minor Revisions to the Collection Instrument

SSA is making the following revisions:

We are revising the PRA statement to reflect our current boilerplate language.  The current language, which dates back to the last reprint of the form, is now outdated.

SSA’s Office of the General Counsel is conducting a systematic review of SSA’s Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statement on the first page of the form.
