Broadband Initiatives Program
All facilities financed with Rural Development loans that are open to the public, or in which physically
handicapped persons may be employed or reside, must be designed, constructed, and/or altered to be
readily accessible to, and usable by, handicapped persons. Standards for these facilities must comply with
the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §4151 et seq.) and with the Uniform
Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), (Appendix A to 41 C.F.R. subpart 101-19.6).
As a prospective primary participant recipient of financial assistance from Rural Development, this
organization commits to carry out Rural Development’s established policy to comply with the
requirements of the above referenced law to the effect that all facilities must be readily accessible to and
usable by handicapped persons.
We, _______________________________________ (the Applicant) hereby certify that, as a prospective
recipient under the Rural Broadband Access Loan and Loan Guarantee Program, we are in compliance, or
will be in compliance upon completion of the Project, with the above referenced law.
