RE: Invitation from the National Institutes of Health
Dear [first last],
On behalf of the National Institutes of Health, I am writing to invite you to participate in an exciting follow-up study to learn more about the current activities of individuals who participated in training programs funded by the National Institutes of Health interdisciplinary initiatives. You have been identified as a student who participated in the [XXX] program at ]XXX].
NIH is asking students who were involved in a program funded by one of its interdisciplinary initiatives to complete a brief, 30 minute web-based survey about the grant activities. We encourage you to participate so that NIH may learn more about its interdisciplinary funding programs. The survey is being conducted by Abt Associates for the NIH.
All responses to this survey will be kept confidential, and will not be disclosed to anyone but the researchers conducting this study, except as otherwise required by law. You will never be identified by name, hence, we encourage you to respond candidly about your experiences. This is a voluntary survey, and nonparticipation will have no impact on you or your institution’s relationship with the NIH.
A high participation rates is necessary to provide NIH with important feedback about its program, so please take a quick moment to send in this information today. Doing so will greatly aid NIH in their efforts to support training programs.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the project director Alina Martinez [project phone call] or [project email]@abtassoc.com, , or Sue Hamman at [email protected] 301-594-4849
