communities.Tolearnmore,theFundhascontractedwiththeUrbanInstitute,anonprofit
researchorganizationbasedinWashington,DC,toconductanevaluationoftheNewMarkets
TaxCreditprogram.
OneoftheprojectsthatyourorganizationsupportedwithNewMarketsTaxCredits,alongwith
manyotherprojectssupportedbyotherCDEs,wasselectedatrandomforinclusioninour
programevaluation.That’sthereasonforthecalltoday.Myprimarygoalistolearnabout
yourspecificexperienceswith(NAMEProject).
Yourparticipationinthiscallisvoluntarybutit’sverymuchappreciated.Yourexperienceswill
contributetoabetterunderstandingofhowtheNewMarketsTaxCreditsprogramisworking.
I’dliketoemphasizethatwhatwe’redoingisneitheraregulatoryreviewnoranauditofyour
projectbut,rather,asourceofadditionalinformationthatwillassistusinbetterunderstanding
theNewMarketsTaxCreditprogram.We’refocusingonhowprojectsarestructuredandwhat
theyproduce.So,wehavesomequestionsabout(NAMEproject)’scharacteristics,funding,
andoutcomes.
