Justification for Resubmission of the Collection within One Year of OMB Approval

Based on a Commissioner initiative, the Office of Open Government (OOG) worked with the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review to revise all Office of the Chief Administrative Law Judge (OCALJ) decisional notices, including the Notice of Bench Decision. OOG’s new national notice clearance process took approximately a year to complete. Therefore, we only recently finalized the revisions for submission to OMB. We will implement these revisions upon OMB approval.

We highlighted the pertinent revised information that includes language pertaining to the obtaining of the Bench Decision. As mentioned above, we are revising this language as part of the OOG review. All other minor, non-substantive, revisions to this notice are not specific to this information collection, and, therefore, we are not highlighting them.
