SUBJECT: Extension of OMB Clearance for Procurement Solicitations and Contracts.
In order to obtain the goods and services the Department needs to carry out its various missions, and to procure them on a competitive basis, the Department’s procurement offices issues solicitations which require contractors to provide cost data and technical proposals. These solicitations consist primarily of forms and clauses required by, and located in, the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Contractors wishing to compete for government contracts must respond to these solicitations. We are requesting a 3-year extension to this clearance, which expires September 2, 2010.
