The proposed amendments in Release No. 33-9070 would require disclosure regarding credit ratings used in connection with a registered offering. The increase in the burden associated with Form 20-F is necessary in order to provide investors with a more meaningful and comprehensive understanding of credit ratings, which should help investors make more informed investment decisions. The proposal would result in an increase of 120 burden hours and an increase in the cost burden of $16,000 for services of outside professionals.
