Nonsubstantive Change Request
2010 Decennial Census
0607-0919
The 2010 Census Advance Letters have been revised to include in-language messages directing respondents to the 2010 Census Web site to find information to assist them in filling out their census form. Widely advertising the 2010 Census Web site in these letters provides in-language assistance information directly to hard-to-count populations. This change has been made only to the D-5(L) mailout/mailback and D-5(L)(UL) Update/Leave 2010 Census Advance Letters.
The Census Bureau has also created an additional 2010 Census mail piece that will provide on a postcard, six telephone questionnaire assistance telephone numbers targeted to Asian and Russian language speaking households. The D-9(TQA) postcard is a mechanism to provide information to a very targeted population and can efficiently reach the Asian and Russian language-speaking households who may need in-language assistance to complete their census questionnaire.
