Importers of light-duty vehicles, light-duty trucks, and on-road motorcycles are required to report and keep records regarding the imports. The collection of this information is mandated to insure compliance with U.S vehicle and engine emission requirements under the Clean Air Act. The information collection instruments are EPA Forms 3520-1 for initial entry and 3520-8 for final entry of the more limited class of vehicles imported by Independent Commercial Importers.
