NSF/SRS strongly supports the additions of these items to the Baccalaureate and Beyond Survey.  These items have been used in all three of the NSF SESTAT surveys and NSF suggested the addition of these items to B&B. NSF and other users of the SESTAT data have found these items to be very useful and we would anticipate that this would also be the case for NCES and B&B data users.  Collecting this information in B&B will be very useful to NSF because it will provide comparable data for recent graduates in all fields. That will allow NSF to use the B&B data to compare graduates in science, engineering and health (SEH) fields with those in non-SEH fields, which cannot be done with NSF's National Survey of Recent College Graduates, which only includes recent graduates in SEH fields.

See if this is what you were expecting and whether you believe this addition will be valuable to SRS and others.
