The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), pursuant to 5 C.F.R. § 1320.13, hereby requests
approval of emergency processing not later than August 19, 2010, to conduct various voluntary
focus groups and associated surveys (collection of information) for a 90-day period beginning
August 20, 2010, as described in the enclosed supporting statement. The notice that FHFA will
publish in the Federal Register is also enclosed.
FHFA has determined that this request meets the criteria of 5 C.F.R. § 1320.13 in that the
collection of information is needed prior to the expiration of time periods established under 5
C.F.R. Part 1320, it is essential to the mission of FHFA, and FHFA cannot reasonably comply
with the normal clearance procedures because the use of normal clearance procedures, which
take at least 90 days, will prevent the collection of information, which is expected to begin
August 20, 2010.
