INSTRUCTIONS AND DEFINITIONS

Broiler-Type: Report chicks hatched for placement as commercial broilers for meat production, plus chicks hatched

for Broiler-Type hatching egg supply flocks.


Egg-Type: Report chicks hatched to supply replacement layers for market egg production, and chicks hatched

for Egg-Type hatching egg supply flocks.


Egg In

Incubators: Report total eggs set in incubators during the week classified between Broiler-Type and Egg-Type.


Chicks

Hatched: Report total hatched during the week, classified between Broiler-Type and Egg-Type. Include all chicks

which were destroyed in the total chicks hatched.


Disposition of

Chicks

Hatched: Report placements and actual or expected sales of chicks hatched during the week covered by this

report. Number reported in Questions 3a, b, and c, should equal number of chicks hatched during the week (Question 2). Chicks remaining unsold at the end of the week and carried over for later sales

should be reported on the basis of the expected disposition.

According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, an agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB number. The valid OMB number is 0535-0004. The time required to complete this information collection is estimated to average 12 minutes per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
