Extension without change of a currently approved collection
The Commission released a Report and Order on August 12, 2004 (FCC 04-52) adopting rules to prohibit the sending of commercial messages to any address referencing an Internet domain name associated with wireless subscribers' messaging services, unless the individual addressee has given the sender express prior authorization.
The Commission has re-evaluated its previous assessments of the various burdens for this information collection for the existing information collection requirements. Due to this re-evaluation:
(a) the CommissionÂs estimate for the total number of respondents has decreased by -225, from 5,443,287 to 5,443,062 respondents
(b) the CommissionÂs estimate for the total number of annual responses has decreased by -225, from 5,443,287 to 5,443,062 annual responses;
(c) the CommissionÂs estimate for the total annual burden hours has decreased by -225, from 30,254,598 to 30,254,373 annual hours and
(d) the CommissionÂs estimate for the total annualized cost burden has increased by +2,604,134, from $13,639,892 to $16,244,026 annual cost.
There are no program changes to the information collection.
