4. Person filing request:

I am an attorney or representative and I represent the applicant requesting a hearing on a naturalization proceeding. [You must attach Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative, if you are an attorney or representative and did not previously submit such a form.]

I am an attorney or representative and I represent the applicant requesting a hearing on a naturalization proceeding. [You must attach Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative, if you are an attorney or representative.]

Justification:

Currently an applicant files the Form N-336 at a local USCIS Field Office.  During the summer on 2011 USCIS expects to request that Form N-336 applicants file their applications at a central location where the form will be receipted and the proper receipt notice will be sent to the applicant.  The current form design will not meet the new standards that USCIS requires to properly receipt an application. Namely, the form does not capture the applicant’s home and mailing address.  Accordingly, USCIS is revising the form to request the applicant’s stated name, home and mailing address to ensure that the applicant receives proper receipt.
