Dear Headwaters Forest Reserve Visitor:
During your earlier visit to the Headwaters Forest Reserve we contacted you and asked you to complete a questionnaire on your use and enjoyment of the area. You were randomly selected for this study, and your participation is essential if the results are to be useful in guiding future planning and management decisions.
As of today we have not received your completed questionnaire. We hope that it is in the mail, but we have enclosed another copy of the questionnaire in the event that you misplaced the original.
Humboldt State University, together with the Bureau of Land Management, has undertaken this study because we believe that citizen opinions should be taken into account in the formation of management policies for public lands. As a Headwaters Forest Reserve user, you may be affected by future planning and management decisions made by the BLM. This study is an opportunity for you to express your personal experiences and feelings as a Headwaters Forest Reserve visitor.
