Justification for Change
OMB 1535-0069 Treasury Direct Forms
The Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD) is submitting a change to remove form PD F 5189 from this information collection. In an examination of forms used in the Legacy Treasury Direct System, BPD determined that PD F 1010, Resolution for Transactions Involving Treasury Securities (cleared under OMB #1535-0117), collected similar data and the information obtained from PD F 5189 was duplicative. The discontinuation of PD F 5189 was effective on January 14, 2011, and BPD would like to make this change by removing the form from this ICR. The reduction in the burden hours reported in our previously approved submission reflected the anticipated discontinuation of PD F 5189. There is no change to the burden
