Grantees in the Upward Bound programs
(Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math-Science, and Veterans Upward
Bound) must submit this report annually. The Department uses the
reports to evaluate the performance of grantees prior to awarding
continuation funding and to assess grantees' prior experience at
the end of the budget period. The Department will also aggregate
the data across projects to provide descriptive information on the
programs and to analyze their outcomes in response to the
Government Performance and Results Act.
This is an extension of a
currently approved information collection. An increase in the
number of burden hours from the current inventory of 9,704 to
10,287 is an adjustment due to the disaggregation of burden between
private and public institutions. There are 1,143 responses.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
