EPA WasteWise Partner Agreement
The EPA WasteWise Program encourages organizations to voluntarily reduce waste and conserve
environmental resources while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Partners benefit from reduced waste
generation by saving money and being recognized as environmental stewards in the United States.
With this agreement, my organization joins EPA's WasteWise Program and agrees to:
Submit baseline data within 60 days of registering.
Report on waste management activities and progress towards goals annually.
Commit to set goals and make continuous improvement related to:
o Preventing waste (i.e. source reduction)
o Recycling
o Purchasing or manufacturing recycled content products
Use the WasteWise logo in a manner that is consistent with the use guidelines, available at
www.epa.gov/waste/partnerships/wastewise/guidelines.htm
In return, EPA commits to provide:
Public recognition, by recognizing partners on our website.
Partner support and communications assistance.
An online waste reporting and data management system.
The opportunity to compete for WasteWise Program Awards.
General Terms:
Either party can terminate this agreement at any time without prior notification and with no
further obligation. EPA will not comment publicly regarding the withdrawal of Partners.
Partner agrees that the activities it undertakes connected with this voluntary agreement are not
intended to provide services to the federal government and that the Partner will not seek
compensation from a federal agency.
Partner agrees that it will not claim or imply that its participation in the WasteWise Program
constitutes EPA approval or endorsement of anything other than its participation in the program
and will not make statements or imply that EPA endorses the Partner or the purchase or sale of
the Partner's products and services or the views of the Partner's organization.
EPA may publish information about the Partner's program accomplishments, but will honor all
requests to keep the Partner's reported waste data confidential.
EPA may use the Partner's logo in selected marketing materials. This added benefit is available
only to Partners that have received an award for their commitment to reducing waste.
EPA may periodically revise eligibility requirements.
Termination Clause:
Failure to comply with any of the terms of this partnership agreement can result in its termination
and cessation of access to the benefits of the program, including use of the WasteWise Re-TRAC
system and the program logo.
