“Tools for screening of pulmonary function
in children 1-8 years of age”
Doctors at the University of Miami are doing a research study to find out if young children can do simple breathing tests. The tests will help doctors learn about how children’s lungs work.
Your child may qualify for the study if he/she:
-Is between 12 months and 8 years of age
-Was not born prematurely (before 34 weeks)
-Does not have asthma
During the study, parents will fill out a questionnaire. Doctors will measure the lung function of the child by asking him/her to breathe into a mouth piece or a small mask.
No blood draws involved.
Families will receive up to $25 per child*, as well as transportation vouchers, for each study appointment
