Summary of Changes
Line 3, a new entry space was added to list types of media outlet.
In the head note for lines 5-9, a note was added that CD/DVD and Sample CD/DVD are not available for individual exempt organizations.
On 1ines 5, 6, 7, and 8 "Tax year(s) requested:" was revised to "Tax year(s) or period(s) requested:" and an instruction added to enter format as "YYYYMM".
New lines 5b, 6b, and 7b were created to distinguish a paper request (form) from a CD/DVD request.
A new check box for "Sample CD/DVD period(s)" was added and "Months" was replaced with "Calendar Year(s)."
Line 8, "Paper request" was added to clarify the only available request.
On line 9, a check box was added for Form 1023, Form 1024, and Determination Letter.
Also, "Tax year(s) requested" and its entry spaces were removed since organizations only apply for exempt status once.
Impact
The number of filers annually prior to the above-described changes was 20,000. It is unknown what change there will be in the number of filers annually because of the above-described changes.
