TITLE: Amendment of Parts 2 and 95 of the Commission’s Rules to
Provide
Additional
Spectrum
for
the
Medical
Device
Radiocommunication Service in the 413–457 MHz band SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Report and Order that allocates spectrum in the 413–457 MHz band and adopts service and
technical rules for Medical Micropower Networks, which rely on
new types of implanted medical devices that use functional electric
stimulation to, among other things, restore sensation, mobility, and
function to paralyzed limbs and organs.
Commission staff will provide a presentation on the Commission’s recent broadband adoption efforts, including a first-of-its-kind national
effort to address the barriers to broadband adoption, digital literacy
and the employment skills gap.

AGENCY:

In accordance with
requirements of the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995 (‘‘PRA’’), 44
U.S.C. 3501 et seq., the FDIC may not
conduct or sponsor, and the respondent
is not required to respond to, an
information collection unless it displays
a currently valid Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) control number. The
FDIC, as part of its continuing effort to
reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on the renewal
of an existing information collection, as
required by the PRA. On September 21,
2011 (76 FR 58513), the FDIC solicited
public comment for a 60-day period on
renewal of the following information
collection: Request for Deregistration for
Registered Transfer Agents (OMB No.
3064–0027). No comments were
received. Therefore, the FDIC hereby
gives notice of submission of its request
for renewal to OMB for review.

General description of report: The FR
Y–14A and Q are authorized by section
165 of the Dodd-Frank Act which
requires the Federal Reserve to ensure
that certain BHCs and nonbank financial
companies supervised by the Federal
Reserve are subject to enhanced riskbased and leverage standards in order to
mitigate risks to the financial stability of
the United States. 12 U.S.C 5365.
Additionally, Section 5 of the BHC Act
authorizes the Board to issue regulations
and conduct information collections
with regard to the supervision of BHCs.
