What is Epi Info?
For over 25 years, Epi Info™ so ware has been a CDC trailblazer for
innova on and applica on of Informa on Technology to public health
prac ce. It has encouraged collabora on between local, na onal, and
interna onal partners, including state and territorial epidemiologists;
na onal centers, ins tutes, and government offices; and foreign ministries
of health and United Na ons World Health Organiza on cons tuents.
Epi Info™ is used around the globe for the rapid assessment of disease
outbreaks, the development of con nuous surveillance systems, and a
wide range of community health ini a ves.
Epi Info™ is a free applica on that allows public health and medical
professionals to rapidly develop a ques onnaire, customize data entry,
analyze data, and create data, graphs, tables, and charts for customized
reports. As part of the CDC’s supported data tools, Epi Info™ 7 provides
interac ve Analysis, Visualiza on, and Repor ng (AVR) with many PHIN
compliant surveillance systems.

The Epi Info™ team has received many requests for support and
training from public health professionals across the country and
around the world. Economic reali es have required many states and
countries to rethink how much they pay for so ware licenses,
