The change in burden hours is an ADJUSTMENT. There is no proposed change to the recordkeeping requirements of this collection. The recordkeeping requirements, and the methodology (except as noted below) for calculating burden, remain unchanged.

The following listed below are changes to the collection:

• Increase in burden (responses/burden hours) is due to a change in the vessel population. NOTE—In this ICR we estimate an annual increase in responses and burden, but a decrease in respondents. This change is due to an error in the past on how respondents were calculated. See SS section 12 Table 4 footnotes that indicate that respondents in rows (c) through (f) are the same as or a subset of the respondents in row (a).

• Inclusion of 3 new collection instruments—

  • Form CG-6047A, titled STATEMENT OF VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE FOR ANNEX IV OF MARPOL 73/78

  • Form CG-6056B, titled STATEMENT OF VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE FOR ANNEX VI OF MARPOL 73/78

  • Form CG-6056C, titled SUPPLEMENT TO STATEMENT OF VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE FOR ANNEX VI OF MARPOL 73/78

  • As the new forms are issued by the CG in lieu of another document, the shift from one form to another is burden neutral.
