The intended population is long haul commercial truck drivers who visit a NIOSH web page to view sleep
health messages. The population will therefore be self-selecting and recruitment will primarily be through
announcements airing on Sirius XM satellite radio directing drivers to the web url. See Attachment A.

NIOSH developed a web page for commercial truck drivers that consists of information specifically
tailored for long-haul drivers on the need for adequate rest and quality sleep; dangers of fatigue; associated
health risks of inadequate rest; the functional deficits associated with difficult work scheduling patterns;
suggested countermeasures, and shared responsibility of the workplace and the worker to reduce fatiguerelated risks. The web page can be viewed at: http://www.tristatehfes.org/truckdrivers/index.shtml
