SUBJECT: Request for Change OMB # 0925-0635

NIDA’s Study for Substance Abuse doc.com Module Project

FROM: Elisabeth Davis

Project Officer

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health, is requesting a change to the above referenced clearance for the study NIDA’s Substance Abuse doc.com Module Project.

Purpose of Change: The change is to conduct a second round of posting-testing of residents after the education intervention. The respondent burden from this will not exceed the 105 respondent burden hours approved for the Primary Care Residents Physicians study.

Justification for the Change: For the study a maximum of 308 residents participating was estimated but based on the August 2011 enrollment in the course, a lower number of participants is expected for the enrollment period August 2011 through June 2012. (See revised burden table below). The study design and methods of analysis will not change. The incentives payments will not change. The added testing will expand the scope of the assessment of the intervention.

Time-sensitive: This change is highly time-sensitive because it is a school-based study.
